Privacy notice

This notice covers the website gobo-designer.com and the email address [email protected]. The site is currently a holding page: it sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, runs no analytics and loads nothing from any other website. This page sets out the little personal data that does reach us, and what we do with it.

Gobo Designer itself currently runs at fableforge.uk/gobo-designer. That site has its own privacy notice, which applies when you use the tool there.

Who we are

What we collect, and why

Visiting this site. Cloudflare hosts gobo-designer.com and keeps its standard access logs — IP address, browser user agent, the address requested and the time — for a short period, to keep the site running and to block abuse. We add nothing on top of that, and we do not build a profile of you. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.

Emailing us. When you write to [email protected], Cloudflare's email routing receives the message and forwards it to the mailbox where we read it. We keep your message, your email address and anything you attach while your query is open and for a short while afterwards, in case you come back to it. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.

We do not use your data for marketing, we make no automated decisions about you, and we do not collect any special category data. You are not required to give us any personal data; if you do not email us, the only data involved is Cloudflare's access log.

Who we share it with

Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts the site and routes email to our support address, and the email provider that hosts the mailbox that address forwards to. Both act on our behalf. We share it with nobody else, and we do not sell personal data.

Where it goes

Cloudflare and our email provider may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the UK's approved safeguards: the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) where they apply.

How long we keep things

Support email: while your query is open and for a short while after it is resolved, then deleted. Access logs: for Cloudflare's own short retention period. Nothing else is kept, because nothing else is collected.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, erase it, restrict how we use it, object to how we use it, or move it elsewhere. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month. In practice, the only personal data we are likely to hold about you is any email you have sent us.

If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us and we will try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Changes to this notice

When the full Gobo Designer tool moves to this address, this notice will be replaced with one that covers it. Whenever the notice changes, the date at the top changes too.
